Less guessing, more fishing. The Australian fishing and camping app puts the best time to go, the spots, the rules and the campsites for your trip in one place, and most of it works with no signal.

Built from official Australian sources. Fishing rules from each state’s fisheries pages, with the date we checked them. Weather and tides from WillyWeather, including Bureau of Meteorology data. Campsites checked against their official park pages.
The solunar scan
Better odds.
The rest is fishing.
ReelCamp’s best fishing time is our estimate from real data. Watch the scan spin the Earth to your spot and run through the day, hour by hour: the light, the tide and the moon’s pull.

Why ReelCamp
Tides, weather, the fishing rules, spots and campsites together. No more flicking between apps and websites at the boat ramp.
The best fishing time for your spot, from the tide, the sun and the moon. Better odds before you leave home.
Your state’s size and bag limits and closures, with the date we checked them and a link to the official page.
Fish ID, the rules, spots and campsites work where the fish are, and your forecast is saved for when the signal drops out.

Best fishing time
ReelCamp works out the best fishing time for your spot from the tide, the sun and the moon, and shows you the working. So you pick the right morning, not just any morning. The tides, wind, swell and the week ahead are one tap away.

Boat day
Set how much wind and swell your boat takes, and ReelCamp shows the hours inside your numbers, hour by hour, with the tide at the bar and the marine forecast. Off Queensland it puts the government wave buoys’ real readings beside the forecast. The FADs and offshore reefs off Queensland and NSW are on the map, each with its position to share to your GPS. Your numbers, your call.

Fish ID and the rules
Not sure what you’ve caught? Tap it from your state’s most caught, or answer a few quick questions. Then see the size and bag limit before it goes in the esky, with the date we checked it. It all works with no signal.

Prawns, crabs and squid
Prawns run on dark nights. ReelCamp shows the nights worth a go near you for prawns, crabs and squid: the dark of the moon, the tide after dark and the season, four weeks ahead, with your state’s rules for nets and limits and what to take. Better odds. The rest is fishing.

Fishing road trips
Tell ReelCamp where you’re going, when, and who’s coming. It lines up the spots, the fish and bait, the bag limits, campsites, stops for the drive and a packing list, so you can just go.

Camping
Find a campsite near the spots you want to fish: national parks, state forests and caravan parks, each checked by hand against its official page for the price, how you get in, dogs and caravans.

The compass
Tap Compass in the tab bar and the pocket compass comes up: a brass case, a paper dial, and the needle turning as you turn. It’s your phone’s own compass, so it works with no signal. Handy when the forecast says a south-easter and you want to know which way that is.

Your catches
Snap the photo, tap the fish and its size, and ReelCamp checks it against your state’s size range. The weather, tide and moon save by themselves; add the spot, how you caught it and the depth if you like. Then see your personal bests, your fish count and what works for you. It stays private, on your phone.
